Persons desiring to become a Reserve Police Officer will need to attend a Basic POST Police Academy or Reserve Academy for Level I/Level II Reserve Officer training. The department is not currently sponsoring any candidates for attendance to the academy at the Reserve Officer Level. Academies are located at various community colleges around the state. Locally, they are held at The Monterey Peninsula College and The Evergreen Community College.
Once a candidate has completed the required academy training, they may submit a completed application for consideration. Application packets may be obtained on our recruitment page.
